Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - We all enjoy hearing about the latest celebrity to come and visit our region. Once in awhile we catch a glimpse of someone famous walking along the beach, or even taking surfing lessons.
The Kardashian family, Jennifer Aniston, Mario Lopez, Courtney Cox and most recently Lady Gaga to name a few, have all been vacationers in Punta de Mita in just the last few months.
Of course there are many more successful national and international luxury vacationers that we may not recognize in person from other industries, who enjoy the beauty of all the Bay of Banderas has to offer.
In response to this increased demand for luxury vacation experiences, Vallarta Rentals, in partnership with the renowned luxury concierge vacation agency Twenty Seven Degrees, has developed a staff training course for the properties most in demand in this market segment to increase the level of service, knowledge and professionalism of the staff for their guests and owners.
The first course, 'Excellence in Service Standards,' currently underway at the breathtaking Casa Tres Soles in El Banco Estates, was oversubscribed immediately after being announced. 30 staff members from villas in the area, are enjoying personalized training in all areas of service provision, including a full day with the trainers at each individual villa property. Instructors and trainers include:
Adam Leemon - International wine sommelier, certified by the Court of Master Sommeliers, last year declared one of the 100 Most Influential People in Los Angeles, and really deserving of an article of his own (just GOOGLE 'Adam the wine guy' and you'll understand why,) Adam offers his relaxed and personable approach to understanding and appreciating fine wine selection and service.
A man of many talents; Media Personality, Journalist, Entrepreneur, Educator and of course, Award Winning Sommelier; Adam offers a wealth of experience and knowledge to all that he encounters. Visit his website, or search YouTube for 'adam the wine guy' and enjoy one of the more than 300 video blogs focused on enriching your understanding and enjoyment of a good bottle of wine.
No matter what, Adam insists; "The best part of a glass of wine is the people you share it with."
Polo Perez - Born in Veracruz, and trained at the International Institute of Modern Butlers in London, Polo exemplifies the service provision expected in the luxury vacation market. After a successful career with the exclusive One&Only Palmilla in Los Cabos, where he became the Major Domo for the resort, Polo now manages private estates in the Cabo San Lucas region.
He continues his passion of sharing and teaching others the key factors of excellence in service, the WOW factors for hospitality and the fine line between service and servile.
Harry Choi - Founder of Twenty Seven Degrees, a true global, luxury concierge vacation agency, Harry provides services that affluent clients expect.
Prior to the past 6 years of operating Twenty Seven Degrees, Harry opened the One&Only Palmilla in Los Cabos and was integral in the launch and global positioning of the resort. His 25 years in the luxury hospitality industry include contributing to the success of The Lodge at Torrey Pines, La Quinta Resort and Spa, The Phoenician Resort and Spa, to name just a few.
Daniela Maclean - Originally from Malta, Daniela first came to Puerto Vallarta 8 years ago to work with the Villa Group. Daniela has established an outstanding international reputation in Asia, Europe and North America where she has studied and worked in the hospitality industry in many facets including resort development, marketing and sales, and corporate incentive and event planning.
As Director of Vallarta Rentals, Daniela takes great pride with her team in creating and turning luxury vacations into memorable experiences.
Harry Choi comments, "While there are many exotic locales for my clients to choose from, superiority of service is the number one reason given by my clients for choosing to return to any destination."
"The single most important indicator of the success of a luxury property is the number of discriminating clients who return to enjoy the destination and in particular, their private exclusive villas a second time, often developing a connection that brings them back again and again," he said.
"The rising popularity of this region compelled me to find the very best partner locally to ensure that my clients receive the level of service they have come to expect, and I am fortunate to have found Daniela and Vallarta Rentals after exploring other service providers in the area," Choi added.
In response to the question what difference does he feel this course will make to the success of a Villa property and it's service provision, Harry is quick to point out that the first distinctive is not about providing good service but being trained to anticipate the needs of the client before the service is required.
And secondly, that the staff is competent and trained to deal with challenging and sometimes unusual situations, which can occur at any time, and take on many variations. Harry describes a recent situation where one of Daniela's chef's was called into action to resuscitate a 4 year old boy on his family's first day of vacation.
Fortunately the quick thinking and actions of the chef, who had been trained in Emergency First Aid as part of his ongoing development with Vallarta Rentals, saved the boys life, and ultimately the family was able to enjoy an incredibly memorable vacation experience for all the right reasons.
"I am thankful to have found and proud to work exclusively with Daniela and the team at Vallarta Rentals, and through this course, the opportunity to invest my experience and knowledge in creating a level of excellence with the staff and owners of these incredible properties ensuring the continued growth and success of this market."
