Maya 2012: A Guide To Celebrations

October 6, 2011

Travel Writer Joshua Berman, a.k.a. The Tranquilo Traveler, has just announced the release of one of his new books, MAYA 2012: A Guide To Celebrations In Mexico, Guatemala, Belize & Honduras (in addition to Moon Belize!)

Berman is a travel writer, Moon guidebook author, Spanish teacher (Waldorf, TPR Storytelling), returned Peace Corps volunteer, trip leader, and father.

According to Berman:

"MAYA 2012 is unlike any guidebook I’ve ever written or you have ever read. It is a slim guide to the Maya region (110 pages), with lists of the events, tours, and festivals happening next year as we approach December 21, 2012, the end of the 5,125-year Maya Long Count."

"Each destination chapter begins with a first-person travel narrative. Some of the top archaeologists and experts in the fields of Maya studies participated in a series of Q&As about traveling in the Mundo Maya. I hope you enjoy it and I hope you get to go."

We send our sincere congratulations to Joshua Berman for this great accomplishment and for educating us on the unique and wonderful world of Mayan culture.
