Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - In a statement published in the October 19 edition of Vallarta Opina newspaper, construction of the new Los Muertos Pier will be concluded before the end of 2011, according to Jalisco’s Tourism Secretary Planning Director, Victor Mijangos.

Additionally, he revealed that the new dock will feature the fabric sails as depicted in the artistic rendition of the dock shown above. In addition, the sails will be outfitted with multi-colored lights that will increase its appeal during the evening hours.

It is expected that, once completed, the new pier will increase the popularity of this already sought after Puerto Vallarta neighborhood.
