Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Stunning landscapes, delicious foods and warm welcomes cause visitors from all over the world to return to the Banderas Bay time and time again. Through PEACE Home Tours, visitors can explore exceptional homes in Puerto Vallarta, while giving back to the local communities they love. Tours will begin Tuesday, November 22, and run every following Tuesday through March 27th, 2012.

Experienced, knowledgeable tour guides lead the three-hour tour, visiting traditional-style Vallarta casas to graceful haciendas and multi-million dollar ocean-front villas. The tour ends at a small, family-owned restaurant where tour guests can attempt to make hand-made tortillas with the owner’s 88-year-old mother.

Net proceeds from the tours are used to support local nonprofit, PEACE in the Puerto Vallarta area. Last season, the tour funded the PEACE + Rivera Cuale community garden, a children’s mobile classroom, and adult education classes. This season the PEACE Home Tour team is focusing on a new program called Work for Food, in which community members complete town beautification projects in exchange for food. View the PEACE "Wish List" to drop off a donation the morning of the tour.

Tours depart each week from Plaza Romy at #228 I. Vallarta Street between Madero and Cardenas streets, one block south of Condominios Molina de Agua.

Purchase your ticket for $35.00 USD at PeaceHomeTourPV.com, or at the PEACE Boutique located on the south side of Plaza Romy (open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.) Advance ticket purchase is recommended, but tickets can also be purchased the day of the tour beginning at 9:30 am in Plaza Romy.

For more information, call Sudy Coy at (322) 224-4407, email: pvtours(at)peacemexico.org, or visit PeaceHomeTourPV.com.
