November 2, 2011

Are you willing and able to volunteer four hours a week in the air-conditioned Tourism Office? Contact Learn Vallarta at 223-1566 or info(at)learnvallarta.com

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Interested in welcoming visitors to Vallarta? We at Learn Vallarta have initiated a volunteer service for the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Office. Come join us! We are looking for positive and enthusiastic Americans and Canadians who are available and willing to volunteer for this exciting new endeavor.

Our first two weeks with our volunteer organization at the Tourism Office has been a great success! We have had coverage there every day from 9 am to 3 pm and from 10 am to 2 pm on Sundays. So far, we have over 30 volunteers.

We have been warmly welcomed by Director Ing. Borioli, who has several ideas on how he wants us to help him expand awareness for the services of his office. Included are any suggestions we have, good or not so good, and especially regarding the city's new website, VisitPuertoVallarta.com.

To that end, he is holding a meeting at 5 pm on Thursday, November 3 at Velas Vallarta in the Marina to address the current and new marketing efforts of the office. He will also make a presentation on the website... how it is organized, how to post on it, ideas for improvement, etc.

Director Borioli has opened this meeting up to any American and Canadian living here part or full time. The presentation will be in English. This is a great informative and collaborative opportunity for our English-speaking community - so join us!
