Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - With the US media often opting for ratings rather than facts, the 'mediated reality' presented to Americans is that all of Mexico is ridden with violence and unsafe to visit. That's why we decided to re-release the 'Simply Puerto Vallarta' video series that was created in 2010 to highlight all of the great people, places and things our safe and beautiful city has to offer.

It's time to book your winter retreat. Puerto Vallarta, Mexico continues to serve up years of vacation memories and fun.

"It started with my mother and father, who purchased a time share over 30 years ago," says Cathy Gast-Feroe, visits PV every year, "And much to the benefit of our family, the second generation of our group has been coming here and now our third generation of children are also coming here and we couldn't even imagine a year without PV."

"My wife and I first purchased a time share in PV in 1990," says Chuck Fournier, loves PV, "We came down here and fell in love, my brain just turns into a marshmallow the minute I get off of the airplane, this is probably the most relaxing place I have been, and I've been all over the world and I just love it down here."

Cathy says, "It's low key, it's genuine, I like the history, I like the fact that there is tradition, everything from the cobble stoned streets to the longevity of the people that work here in our favorite restaurants and in our time share, they have become like family."

"I've been coming down here for 26 years, and absolutely love it," says Glenda Figns, a time share owner, "I come at least once a year sometimes more than once, and usually during the early winter months. I don't even know how to describe it, the people are the most gracious people, when we first came that was probably the one most impressive thing, plus the scenery that sold us, but we fell in love with the people."

Puerto Vallarta and the surrounding areas offer many activities. "It's got everything you would want to do, it's got sun, it's got water, it's got beach, it's got friendly people," says Chuck, and he goes on, "The city has good restaurants, nice hotels, beautiful things to see, it's lovely, the Malecon, it has everything, and it's got enough outside, you can get out into the jungle, out to the beach, you can just get anywhere, and be whatever you choose it to be."

It is not too late to book your trip for some winter sun.

Simply Puerto Vallarta is a multi-media promotion campaign that highlights the richness and diversity of Mexico's premier coastal tourist town. Unlike traditional PR efforts, the video series was designed to put the media message back into the hands of those it most affects - area residents.
