January 13, 2011

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Get off that beach chair and explore some of Old Town's nooks and crannies during the International Friendship Club's charity Scavenger Hunt, Monday, January 30, starting at 11 am. Restaurant El Torito (corner of Venustiano Carranza and I. Vallarta) is the event host and location.

Everyone is welcome. Once at El Torito, random teams will be picked, then the hunt begins. Maps, clues and instructions will be provided.

"This will be a great way to have fun, meet new friends and even win some cool prizes," said event organizer Linda Mellor.

The hunt should take teams about two hours to complete. Participants will meet at El Torito at 11 am on January 30 and should bring good walking shoes and a sense of fun and adventure.. Within the downtown area, you may be looking for anything - from something at the Flea Market to a shoe lace.

"Once the teams have finished their hunt, they will return to El Torito for lunch - a choice of barbecue ribs, fish and chips or chicken Fajitas. We'll have team prizes, a door prize and a raffle," explained Linda.

"But, what's special about this Scavenger Hunt," added Linda, "is that the proceeds support the International Friendship Club's Cleft Palate and other community outreach programs. It is totally a win - win."

The cost is $200 pesos per person, which includes entry fee, lunch (including tip) and prize eligibility. Tickets need to be purchased in advance so reserve your place now!

Buy your tickets at the International Friendship Club located at the Northeast corner of the Cuale Bridge above the HSBC Bank. Phone: (322) 222-5466. Email: info(at)ifcvallarta.com. Website: ifcvallarta.com
