US Consular Agency Presents Q&A on Importing Vehicles to Mexico

The meeting wiil take place on Tuesday, April 10th, at 11:30 am at Plaza Marina – local A-51 in the O & A Investment Funds Theatre Conference Room.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The US Consular Agency of Puerto Vallarta has announced a reservation only town meeting intended to educate the public on Mexican laws regarding the temporary importation of a foreign plated car to Mexico.

The meeting wiil take place on Tuesday, April 10th, at 11:30 am at Plaza Marina – local A-51 in the O & A Investment Funds Theatre Conference Room (on the north side of the plaza near Scotia Bank.)

Some of the topics the Mexican Hacienda and Transito Authorities will address:

• How and who can import a foreign plated car
• Applicable fees for importing a car
• Length of time importation permit is valid
• Who can drive the car while in Mexico
• How, where and when to report a vehicle destroyed in an accident
• Where to obtain information regarding permanently importing the car to Mexico
• Do license plates have to be valid in the foreign state of origin, to be legal in Mexico

Reservations are required, so please contact the US Consular Agency of Puerto Vallarta.
