Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The Municipal System for Integral Family Development (DIF), chaired by Jennifer Serur, is offering summer courses for all ages at the Community Development and Training Center and at the Department of Child Protection (IPR).

The summer courses began on July 9 and will continue through August 10, 2012. Training is being held at the Community Development and Training Center, located at Ecuador #650 in downtown Puerto Vallarta, where children and adults may register for courses that will help them develop trade skills that could be useful in increasing family finances.

Adult classes include hair styling, embroidery, sewing basics, sewing home accessories (curtains, bedspreads, and pillows), piņata making, Flamenco dancing, and spa therapy. Children's workshops include baking courses, English at the primary and secondary level, textile painting, and belly dance lessons.

The public is invited to participate in the workshops. Those interested in participating in any of these activities can call (322) 299-6434, for dates, times and other information.

For younger children, the Department of Child Protection on Calle Guatemala #427 is offering fun and educational activities during the summer.

For four weeks, kids can participate in courses such as hair styles for girls, English, guitar, children's choir, crafts, popular theater, costuming, break dancing, sports, primary school upgrading and tutoring, emotional workshops, and more, which will help give kids the opportunity to develop their talents and abilities.

For complete information on schedules and costs of the kids courses, call (322) 299-1817 or 225-4353 from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

At the end of the summer courses, the Department of Child Protection will host a fun camp for all participants.
