Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Live table side music is very much part of the dining scene in Puerto Vallarta. Strolling minstrels add a vitality and personal touch to the evening. One of the area's favorites will be taking his talent to the next level by performing at Daiquiri Dick's Restaurant on Friday, October 26, 2012.

Jorge Acosta along with his band will be taking the stage and wowing the audience with two shows, one starting at 7:15 pm and the next beginning at 9:15 pm. There are two distinct acts within each performance. The first half features familiar US top-40 hits along with classics ranging from Frank Sinatra to Ricky Martin, and the second half offers classic Mariachi music. Jorge will be accompanied by his band playing guitars, flute and percussion.

This is the second time the band has played at Daiquiri Dick's. The July show was sold out and Jorge used the proceeds to launch the band in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato. After a successful show, all of their equipment was stolen, including several new instruments. Ticket sales from this performance will help them recoup much needed funds and return their spirits.

The dinner and a show venue is unique in the Bay of Banderas. This program will feature seatings for dinner at 6:30-7 pm and at 9 pm to coincide with the two performances. It's a good idea to make reservations. There is a $150 peso cover charge per person for those dining at the restaurant. If you do not wish to eat, there is a $200 peso ticket price and that includes one national beverage. However, the full dinner menu and the new snack menu are available, plus here's a look at the night's specials.

• Beet and Watercress Salad with Apples, Pecans and Goat Cheese with a Raspberry Vinagrette

• Clam Chowder with Potatoes, Carrots and a touch of Pernod

Main Courses

• Fresh Sea Bass Filet served over garden risotto with pistachio sauce

• Beef Fillet with a Pepper-Cognac Sauce, lightly creamed, served over garlic mashed potatoes

• Spaghetti with Ragú ala Bolognese, an Italian classic made with beef ribs, sirloin tips, ground beef, mortadella finished with parmigiano

Dessert

• Pumpkin Crème Brûlée
• Tiramisu
