Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The extremely popular free Malecón Sculpture Walking Tour, created and conducted by Galeria Pacifico owner Gary Thompson, will again be offered this season.

The tours will be conducted every Tuesday beginning November 13th at 9:30 am, and will start in front of the Millennium sculpture - next to the Hotel Rosita - at the north end of the Malecón. Sculptor Mathis Lidice will once again be present to describe his inspiration for this creation. This will be his seventh year as part of this tour.

Gary will lead the walking tour along the Malecón, covering about 15 sculptures before ending at Galeria Pacifico's facility at 174 Aldama Street, downtown. There sculptor Jim Demetro is usually available to discuss his sculptures, "Dancers of Vallarta" and "Woman Washing Clothes" as well as explain the lost, complex wax process of creating sculptures in bronze.

The tour lasts about two hours and no reservations are necessary. Additional information about the Huichol Indian designs in the pavement of the new Malecón is offered by Kevin Simpson of Peyote People and Colectika Gallery. Other Vallarta walking tours led by Sandra Cesca of Learn Vallarta will also be available.

A representative of the Los Mangos Public Library will also be present to explain their many activities and provide a no pressure opportunity to make a donation to this worthy cause. The tours will continue through April 16th. More information may be obtained by calling Galería Pacifico at (322) 222-1982 or by emailing GaleriaPacifico(at)gmail.com.
