Jorge Acosta Cinco de Mayo Concert on Paradise Stage

April 29, 2013

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Two of Banderas Bay's most up and coming musicians are joining forces for a unique evening of entertainment AND an opportunity to support CompassioNet Impact. This evening is a celebration of the annual calendar event of Cinco de Mayo, which sees countless Latino cultural celebrations across the Americas.

The Paradise Community Center Stage welcomes jazzy-mariachi smooth baritone crooner Jorge Acosta with flamenco guitarista extraordinaire Eduardo Leon for a memorable concert celebration on Saturday, May 4th.

This talented duo has been joining forces in the Bay area for more than a year and are collaborating on a CD project. It's a guaranteed great concert whenever Acosta and Leon are together, often accompanied by Beata Stankiewicz on the flute and operatic soprano, Santiago Pineda on the classic guitar, Roberto Garcia on sax, and Enrique Jimenez on percussion.

This special Cinco de Mayo concert in Paradise features some of the greatest boleros of all time, stunning flamenco guitar solos, light jazz favorites, and maybe even a sprinkling of opera. And of course you'll also enjoy all the Mexican charisma that comes with every Acosta and Leon performance.

Cinco de Mayo with Jorge Acosta and friends takes place on the beautiful open-air Paradise Stage under the giant palapa and swaying palms at the Paradise Community Center in the heart of the Zona Romantica, on Puerto Vallarta's south side. The professional acoustics and natural setting make the Paradise Stage one of the area's best - and largest - outdoor concert venues. It's the ideal backdrop for a very Mexican celebration.

Guests who arrive early can partake in a special Mexican food court experience designed to offer a number of delicious, authentic, and affordable Mexico culinary standards such as tostadas (duck, chicken, or beef picadillo) sopes (chicken or beef picadillo), enchiladas rojas, and pozole. The Paradise Cantina serves up a variety of beverages from the crowd-favorite Paradise Margarita to red wine to Negro Modelo, standard cocktails, and soft drinks, all at very reasonable prices.

The gates open at 6:00 pm on Saturday, May 4th, with the Mexican food court and Paradise Cantina open to the public. The Cinco de Mayo concert begins at 8:00 pm.

Advance general admission is $200 pesos, or $250 pesos at the door; this ticket includes your first Paradise Margarita or other beverage. A very limited number of advance reserved VIP stage-front tickets are $350 pesos each and include two additional drinks of your choice from the Paradise Cantina. All food court items are offered a la carte and can be purchased separately and shared tapas-style with drinks, or combined to create your own Mexican dinner experience.

Tickets are now on sale at the PCC box office (now open Saturdays, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm), online 24/7 at ParadiseStage.com, or at the door. For more information, visit ParadiseCommunityCenter.com or call Todd at 322-198-7318.

CompassioNet Impact owns and operates the Paradise Community Center entirely for the benefit of the tens of thousands of annual visitors and community residents who enjoy this special place. After normal operating expenses, all PCC profits benefit the resourcing initiatives of CompassioNet Impact, including weekly food service programs and small business loans.
