Award-Winning Hungarian Pianist at Teatro Vallarta

May 6, 2013

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Award-winning Hungarian pianist, Gergely Bogányi, will perform one show only, at 8:30 pm on Friday, May 17, 2013, at Teatro Vallarta. Named the "Best Concert and Performing Artist in Hungary," Gergely Bogányi will be interpreting the best of Chopin and Frank Liszt during his performance in Vallarta.

Born in Vac, Hungary to a family of musicians, Gergely began playing the piano at age four. At the age of six he won a prize at the national "Nyiregyháza" competition and three years later, won first place in the same competition.

Bogányi has also received the Gold Medal at the "Franz Liszt International Competition" in Budapest, one of the most demanding competitions worldwide. In 2004, the President of the Republic of Hungary presented Gergely with the greatest recognition bestowed in his homeland: the Kossuth Prize, the youngest to ever receive such acclaim.

His brilliant technique, coupled with a deeply expressed artistic interpretation, has made him an outstanding international performer. Now, Vallarta is honored to host Gergely Bogányi in the city's beautiful performing arts venue, Teatro Vallarta.

Tickets are $350 Pesos for general seating and $450 Pesos for preferred seating and are available now through Ticketmaster, at the Ticketmaster Outlet in Galleries Vallarta Mall (across for the cruise terminal) and at Teatro Vallarta's box office Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am to 9 pm. Teatro Vallarta is located in El Centro at Uruguay 184, just south of LEY'S grocery store on the main street as you enter downtown.

You won't want to miss this celebration of Chopin and Frank Liszt as Gergely Bogányi takes the Teatro Vallarta stage for one performance only on May 17th at 8:30 pm.
