go to original
December 31, 2013

Carlos Gerard Guzman, Puerto Vallarta's Director of Municipal Tourism, explained that the New Year's Eve pyrotechnic show will begin around 11:50 pm tonight, December 31st, and go on for about 20 minutes.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The arches of the Puerto Vallarta malecon will be the perfect setting for thousands of tourists and Vallartenses to welcome in 2014 with a spectacular display of fireworks which, while being synchronized with cheerful musical pieces, will light up the sky over Banderas Bay.

Carlos Gerard Guzmán, Director of Municipal Tourism, explained that the pyrotechnic show will begin around 11:50 pm tonight, December 31st, and go on for about 20 minutes.

"It is an event for all of our tourists, and also for the locals of Puerto Vallarta. Everyone is invited to come downtown and help us bring in the new year with a fireworks show set to music," said Guzmán. "Awesome multicolored forms will fill the sky!"

The Tourism Director also invited everyone to the big 1 year anniversary celebration for the Los Muertos pier. The event will be held on January 8th, and there will be music and festivities that everyone is sure to enjoy.

Guzmán noted that "since the Los Muertos pier has become the latest tourist icon of Puerto Vallarta, the city has prepared a program of anniversary celebrations which will become a yearly tradition."

"In this, the last week of the 2013, many hotels have reported one-hundred percent occupancy," reported Guzmán, "which signifies an excellent end to 2013 in tourist terms, and also indicates a great start to the 2014 tourist season."
