Popular Vallarta Cooking Classes Return to El Arrayán

December 2, 2013

The talented team of chefs at El Arrayán Restaurant will be sharing some of their secrets during a series of cooking classes. Space is limited, so call 222-7195 for reservations.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - El Arrayán, Vallarta's choice for traditional Mexican food, is offering a new series of Mexican cooking classes for the 2013-2014 season. Join Chef Alfonso Corona, owner Carmen Porras and her team as they share their secrets for preparing rich and varied Mexican dishes that you can cook at home for your family and friends.

In this new series of Mexican cooking classes, Monday is the day to find out how to cook traditional Mexican food with the team of El Arrayán. Local residents and foreign visitors are invited to learn to prepare some of our most delicious Mexican dishes such as: Chile en Nogada, Mole Poblano, Cochinita Pibil, Tamales, and pre-Hispanic specialties like Pozole.

Every Monday, you can join Carmen and her team at 11 am for hands-on cooking instructions in El Arrayán's all-stainless steel professional kitchen, and then enjoying what you’ve cooked with a cocktail or glass of Mexican wine. Fees for these classes range from $85-$90 USD, depending on the day's menu, and include take-home printed recipes and an embroidered apron.

On the first Monday of each month, Carmen and her team offer a special cooking class that begins at 9:30 am and includes a typical Mexican breakfast and visits to local purveyors and markets, in addition to everything offered in their regular cooking classes. These classes cost $110 USD, including transportation from the restaurant to the markets and back again.
