The fabulous three-course dinner consists of:

• Arugula and baby lettuce salad topped with goat cheese

• Surf & Turf (filet and jumbo shrimp) with cherry mango salsa, mashed potatoes flavored with almonds, and vegetables

• Chocolate Mousse with mint

• Glass of Champagne

The soft music during dinner will be followed by dancing to the Rhythm Roosters.

¿Por Qué No? Auction

Then on Sunday, February 16th the Vallarta Yacht Club will host its second annual "¿Por Qué No? Auction" which is also open to the public.

We will have two silent auctions followed by a live auction. The first silent auction begins at 2 pm. Entry is only $60 pesos and includes hors d’oeuvres.

There will be lots of bargains…from dinners at local restaurants, jewelry (including a carved coral necklace and a handmade bracelet with Swarovsky crystals,) an authentic Japanese Sushi lunch at a VYC member’s condo, and a $1,000 USD certificate good at an adult vacation resort in Sunny Okanagon, British Columbia, Canada.

As always, funds raised go to support the Junior Sailing program and the many other charities supported by the VYC. It is the intent of the Vallarta Yacht Club that no child with a desire to learn to sail be denied the opportunity. The club has various scholarship opportunities to help those with need to make the program cost affordable. These kind of events help to defray the cost of these scholarships as well as the cost of equipment maintenance and travel to various competitions throughout Mexico.
