Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - There's always so much going on in Puerto Vallarta and around the Republic, it can be difficult to keep up with it all. Here's a look at some of this week's Vallarta news headlines, some breaking Mexico news stories, and a couple of weekend events that you won't want to miss.

8th Annual Wine Fest Vallarta Wine Fest

Puerto Vallarta's 8th Annual Wine Fest, a celebration of wine culture with significant international participation from countries like Spain; Italy; South America, represented by Argentina and Chile; and North America, including Mexico, will be held from March 20-27 in various venues throughout the city. According to Sommelier Organizing Committee Chairman, Agustín Rodríguez Aguayo, eleven restaurants and six hotels will host this year's event, which they expect will be attended by more than one thousand wine lovers. And, with participating restaurants and bars offering low prices on all of the wine they serve, not to mention special wine-pairing menus and on site sommeliers to help diners with their wine selection, it is no wonder! Keep watching BanderasNews.com for more information, including a list of participating restaurants and public events, which will be published right here on Puerto Vallarta's Liveliest Website! as more details are made available.

Day passes are $500 pesos per person, of which $350 pesos is put towards your food or beverage bill, and includes towel service and various amenities such as Wi-Fi, showers, changing rooms and lockers. Check in on Foursquare during your visit to receive a complimentary "Mantamargarita," one of the Mantamar Beach Club's most popular specialty cocktails.
