Bugambilia Festival Preview Reaps Matching Fund Offer

March 7, 2014

To date, the Vallarta Garden Club has planted over 200 Amapas and Primavera trees as well as over a thousand bougainvillea in various Puerto Vallarta neighborhoods. Please support our efforts!

Puerto Vallarta News Flash - A generous donor has offered to match funds received by March 15th, up to $80,000 pesos, as a challenge to all of us who want to support the PV Garden Club's ongoing "Vallarta Beautification" project.

The Vallarta Garden Club and Bugambilia Festival committee would like to thank all who came to our 2014 Festival preview event at Casa Chickie. Your involvement helped make it a successful and fun evening.

At the event, we spoke about the club planting over 200 Amapas and Primavera trees as well as over a thousand bougainvillea. We also mentioned that our most CRITICAL NEED is to keep all of our planters and trees watered throughout the dry season.

If we all support the effort and donate just a little, we can purchase a reliable truck plus watering tank & pumping system. This is a paramount need to ensure all of the plants are well maintained and watered consistently until the rainy season begins.

My husband and I will donate the first 5,000 pesos to start the matching fund drive. If it is in your heart to live in a lovely city that cares, please respond to us as soon as possible as any amount would be of great help.

If you would like to make a donation to the Vallarta Beautification matching funds offer, please contact me by email at ziggy523(at)comcast.net, (322) 221-6314 or 044-322-728-9021. You may also contact Matthias Vogt at matthias.vogt(at)usa.net, or by calling (322) 222-4019.

Puerto Vallarta Garden Club is a not-for-profit organization striving to improve and beautify Vallarta through planting trees and flowers in public areas. Meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at 11 am at the Paradise Community Center in Old Town on Pulpito #127. New members are always welcome. Annual dues are only $200 pesos and are used to support the ongoing efforts described herein. The Vallarta Garden Club is registered as a non-profit organization in Mexico. Dues obligation can be paid at the meeting, or dropped off at Mailboxes Etc. in the Zona Romantica to Club Treasurer, Matthias Vogt, Box #298. We gladly accept donations above that amount. We receive no assistance from the city so it is up to us to make this a more beautiful place. Friend us on Facebook and visit our website - vallartagardenclub.com.
