2014 Fashion Awards to Benefit DIF Women's Programs

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Everything is ready for the 2014 Vallarta Fashion Awards to be held on Friday, April 4th at 6:30 pm on the Club Regina's El Patio Los Arcos to benefit Mujeres Madres de Familia, one of the Puerto Vallarta DIF's 'Year of the Woman' programs.

According to event coordinator Carolina Aviña, 22 beautiful women will model the latest Spring-Summer season fashions designed by Takasami, Edgar Lozano, Ángel Grave, Aline Moreno, Eduardo González López and Naya Arroyo, in addition to accessories provided by Sigi Contreras, in a runway spectacular directed by the host of the "Mujer al Aire" TV show, Norma Ruvalcaba.

In addition to the fashion show, you'll enjoy walking the 'Red Carpet,' live music, food and drink provided by Portobello, Kensao sushi, and Barra Bar, gifts, a raffle for a unique and beautiful designer necklace by Sigifredo Contreras, and many more surprises...

After the show, Puerto Vallarta Mayor Ramón Guerrero Martínez and DIF President Magaly Fregoso Ortiz will present the 2014 Fashion Awards to the consolidated celebrities and guest stars.

At a recent press conference, Year of the Woman coordinator, Sara Maria Chavez Medina, said, "the Vallarta Fashion Awards aim to raise funds for the DIF's women's programs, especially for the purchase of materials that the 3,000 women participating in ANSPAC require. (The National Association for Self Improvement, which was founded in Mexico in 1974 and works towards the comprehensive improvement of the individual, through courses and workshops to strengthen and promote family values and the importance of women within their community.)
