Villa Mercedes Hosts Silent Auction for Vallarta Pride

April 25, 2014

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - International trendy and chic visitors have long known of the Puerto Vallarta Romantic Zone's charm and natural beauty. Once an undeveloped area of Vallarta, the Romantic Zone has been transformed into a thriving community of restaurants, bars, and shops.

The number of luxury condos for rent and the refurbished hotels give hip international and national travelers a full range of accommodations. The expanded sidewalks and tile awnings make for easy walking in this charming Mexican enclave.

Of course the most important part of any community is the people. Vallarta has a world-wide reputation as having extremely friendly and most welcoming people that you could hope to find in this vacation paradise.

Villa Mercedes is hosting a Silent Auction to raise funds for Vallarta Pride 2014. Scheduled for Saturday, May 3rd at 6:30 pm around the boutique hotel's pool and garden area, the auction items will be an assortment of high end art pieces, vacation packages, and a water generation system, all donated by the community. Los Muertos Brewing Company has even donated its famous beer for sale during the event.

This fundraising event promises to be one of culture and sophistication. If you have not seen all the changes to Villa Mercedes you owe it to yourself to come view the hotel. All interiors have been carefully redesigned, blending traditional Mexican décor and brightly colored textiles with contemporary décor touches. The concept integrates art and design as part of its theme, with art pieces and murals created by LA based artist Ana Rifa. In fact, the design component of the hotel is ongoing with an artist in residence program.

The support from the community for this event has been outstanding. Yolers Jewelry has donated one of their hand crafted silver bust art pieces, which would be an amazing addition to any room.

Gallery 9's Rene Neito, whose imagination and natural creativity break barriers and make his work truly unique, has donated a piece. We are also fortunate to have to R. Derr Studio contribute a framed print, Fabien, a Study. Part of a study for a six panel painting, this piece can be a stand alone print and would be a great addition to any collection.

If we need to get away, or are having friends come to Vallarta in 2015, the Almar Resort Luxury All Suites & Spa package is the perfect item to bid on. Slated for completion in 2015, who wouldn't want a week stay at phase 2 of the 5 star resort on world famous Los Muertos Beach?

George Dowse is donating an example of truly 21st century technology, an AirJuicer™ 4010 Atmospheric Water Generator. This machine generates and purifies water from the atmosphere, while cleaning the air we breathe. If you bid on this item, you will never need to carry those heavy water bottles again. The machine generates water from the air and filters it through 7 systems to ensure it is drinkable and tastes great.

The Organizing Committee hopes to see you at this silent auction, hosted by Villa Mercedes Petit Hotel. For more information, please visit VallartaPride.com.
