Puerto Vallarta Mariachi Festival November 20-22, 2014

October 30, 2014

Discover the complex origins of Mariachi, its distinctive musical elements, and above all its deep-rooted significance to the people of Mexico, at the Mariachi PV Fest in Puerto Vallarta, November 20-22, 2014.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - In cities throughout Mexico, El Día de la Revolución (November 20th,) is a time of celebration with parades, cultural activities, and music - especially Mariachi, which became the symbol of the Revolution because it represented the national spirit of the indigenous Mexican blood.

So what better time to host a Mariachi Festival? And since the Mariachi originated in the State of Jalisco, what better place to host that festival than in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico?

From November 20-22, 2014, 'The Friendliest City in the World' will host the inaugural Mariachi PV Fest, an event designed and organized by local families, businesses and organizations to promote the tradition of Mariachi and the Mexican culture on a local, national and international level, while supporting local civil associations and commemorating the Mexican Revolution.

Mariachi is a timeless Mexican tradition that goes beyond influential music - it is the sum of a cultural revolution, encompassing the essence of Mexico with elaborate costumes, rhythmic dancing and patriotic values. Discover its complex origins, its distinctive musical elements, and above all its deep-rooted significance to the people of Mexico, right here in Puerto Vallarta.

For three days, the Mariachi PV Fest will fill Puerto Vallarta with the sights, sounds and flavors of Mexico - see the fantastic flourish of rope, Folkloric dancing, typical costumes and fireworks; hear the traditional sones and modern music of the Mariachi; taste Mexico's fabulous cuisine and tequila; immerse yourself in something cultural, spiritual and traditional that is unique to this country - in an experience that is not to be missed.
