Pulpito Plaza Christmas Carolers Delight Audience

December 16, 2014

On Saturday, December 13, 2014, an avid audience enjoyed the final Christmas performance by the children from the Volcanes Community Education Project at Pulpito Plaza on the South side of Vallarta.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Pulpito Plaza was the final Christmas performance by the children from Colonia Volcanes. Sponsored by The Swedes and Garbos on Pulpito Street, this season's last Christmas concert featured 2 songs each from Mikki Prost, who performs at The Palm, and Kim Kuzma, who has 2 weekly shows at Act II Entertainment.

Fifteen children gathered and sang Silent Night Holy Night in Spanish to open the show. The grand finale was the English version of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.

Many locals and tourist were on hand to support this underprivileged community by buying the angel Christmas ornaments made by the children.

Megan Shelton, the English coordinator for the Volcanes Community Education Project, said, "I am completely blown away by everyone's generosity here in Puerto Vallarta! Thank you so much to everyone who purchased an angel from the Volcanes students. In just three shows - and thanks to the help of Morgan Granander at The Swedes and Javier Jimenez at Garbos - we raised $30,280 pesos for the Volcanes Community Education Project! Thank you Mikki Prost and Kim Kuzma for donating your time with incredible performances. Thank you Michael Peters for your help recording the children."

According to The Swedes Restaurant owner, Morgan Granander, this is expected to become an annual event for Pulpito Plaza.
