'Vallarta Pride' LGBT Event Set for May 17-25, 2015

January 20, 2015
Around 8,000 tourists and locals enjoyed Vallarta Pride 2014, a long weekend of colorful events hosted by a variety of businesses in the iconic Romantic Zone, Puerto Vallarta's most popular gay district.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Puerto Vallarta's annual LGBT event "Vallarta Pride" will take place this year from May 17 to 25th, increasing the 5-day event into a week-long cultural celebration of the municipality and its diversity.

With 10% of the world's population being LGBT and Vallarta's reputation as being one of the #1 LGBT travel destination in the world, Vallarta Pride 2015 will showcase more aspects of the LGBT community.

For Pride 2015, we have developed hotel and dining specials as well as a week full of fun activities and events as we celebrate our home in paradise. Under the theme "Unity," it will include music festivals, beach parties, fashion shows, a mass commitment ceremony, and fun activities in participating bars and clubs.

As you know, Puerto Vallarta is a unique location in that we have the greatest diversity of LGBT activities in a climate that allows for visits to the beach 347 days per year. We are also one of the world's friendliest towns with a yearly calendar full of Mexican traditional festivals. In summary, Vallarta offers a true Mexican vacation any time of the year.

We are very special as a community in that it is very easy for visitors to feel a part of, whether here for a few days or a season. In a world ever spinning out of control, where can you feel at home so fast? Vallarta is great therefore for singles, couples and groups. We literal offer something for everyone and you can craft your vacation to be what your wildest dreams desire.

As this year's theme will be "Unity," we have joined together as associations, companies and LGBT community to organize this event that celebrates the lifestyle diversity of our city in a 7-day festival full of arts and culture events, concerts, entertainment, films, fun, lots of partying, and our fabulous Pride Parade on May 23rd.

We believe that the only way to improve our world is if we are united as human beings. Not only as a LGBT community. That's why this year we want to invite ALL people interested in be part of Vallarta Pride to join in the different activities that we will be having. Our main events will be free to the public to once again show the world the best of our accepting and vibrant community.
