Entreamigos' Seventh Annual Children's Art Festival

February 18, 2015

The Seventh Annual San Pancho Children's Art Festival and Auction will be held at the non-profit community education center in San Francisco, Nayarit on Saturday, February 21st from 6:00-10:00 pm.

San Pancho, Nayarit, Mexico - Get ready for another spectacular fundraiser for Entreamigos! The Seventh Annual Children's Art Festival and Auction will be held at the non-profit community education center in San Pancho, Nayarit on Saturday, February 21st from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. You'll enjoy a lively evening of entertainment for a good cause!

This year, Entreamigos (EA) started with the concept of Eco Red (Ecological Network) a new way to teach kids how animals, plants, bodies of water, microorganisms, the climate and children are all interconnected. They conducted classes, workshops and field trips for children from local primary and secondary schools to help them develop observation skills and appreciation of our environment.

Through this rich experience, a group of 80 children, with the help of 25 artists, have recreated, through art, the San Pancho Eco Network: the jungle with its animal species and lush trees, bodies of water creating life, the sea and oceanic species, and how it all relates to our community.

After all this work, EA is pleased to present the 7th Festival of Children's Art. On Friday, February 20th, they invite the community to their "open house," where you can see the children's art and watch them present awards to the young participants. The ribbon cutting will be at 4:00 pm, and all auction items for Saturday's gala will be available for you to preview. Admission is free.

The Gala fund raising event will be on Saturday, February 21st, starting at 6 pm. Entreamigos is known for hosting outrageously creative benefit events, and this one will be no different. Everything about the evening will celebrate the theme "Love Your World," and the San Pancho Eco Network from the perspective of children.

Regular attendees of EA benefits, accustomed to outrageously creative and inventive events, will not be disappointed by the actors, musicians, animators and artists participating in the Seventh Annual event held at the EA Community Center, which is itself a work of recycled art with walls made of the bottom of plastic bottles and a tree of life reaching 20 feet to the sky and made entirely of recycled metal scraps. Expect whimsically decorated rooms, a unique assortment of foods reflecting the flavors of San Pancho's terrific restaurants, a well-stocked cash bar, games, dancing, and a live as well as a silent auction, featuring private catering, dinners at great San Pancho restaurants, lovely vacation rentals, and much, much more.

Tickets are priced at $250 pesos and can be purchased at Entreamigos. The funds raised will allow them to continue with their various educational programs during the summer months. Join us!
