Cinema CUC Presents Disney's 'Big Hero 6' this Friday

July 24, 2015
CinemaCUC invites everyone to the Centro Universitario de la Costa's Juan Luis Cifuentes auditorium on Friday, July 24, at 1 pm for a showing of Big Hero 6. Entrance is free. Get there early for a good seat.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - As part of the CinemaCUC movie series, Centro Universitario de la Costa will present a free matinee showing of 'Big Hero 6,' a super hero comedy produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios, on Friday, July 24th at 1:00 pm in the Juan Luis Cifuentes auditorium.

Directed by Don Hall and Chris Williams, the film is inspired by the Marvel Comics super hero team of the same name. It tells the story of a young robotics prodigy named Hiro Hamada who forms a super heroes team to combat a masked villain.

Big Hero 6

In the metropolis of San Fransokyo (a cross between San Francisco and Tokyo), lives Hiro Hamada, who learns to take advantage of his capacity thanks to his bright brother Tadashi and his equally brilliant friends: the adrenaline seeker, GoGo Tamago; the meticulous cleaner, Wasabi-No-Ginger; the chemistry genius, Honey Lemon; and the comics fanatic Fred. When, after a devastating turn of events, they are caught in a dangerous conspiracy that takes place in the streets of San Fransokyo, Hiro uses his closest friend: a health care companion robot named Baymax, and transforms the group into a band of high-tech super heroes by creating armor and accessories that complement each one of his friend's scientific expertise. They use this new technology to solve the mystery, and continue their exploits throughout the city, fulfilling Tadashi's dream of helping those in need.

"Big Hero 6" was met with both critical and commercial success, grossing over $652 million worldwide and becoming the highest-grossing animated film of 2014. It won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and the Kids' Choice Award for Favorite Animated Movie. It also received nominations for the Annie Award for Best Animated Feature, the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film, and the BAFTA Award for Best Animated Film.

#CinemaCUC invites everyone to join them in the Juan Luis Cifuentes auditorium at one o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, July 24th. Entrance is completely free, so gather up the kids and come enjoy an exciting and entertaining afternoon at the movies!
