Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Thanksgiving isn't just an American holiday. Canada celebrates Turkey Day, too. Actually, it was the first country to do so. Canadian Thanksgiving, which falls on the second Monday in October, was first celebrated by the arctic explorer Martin Frobisher in 1578. That was more than 40 years before the Pilgrims arrived in America.

Canadians celebrate the holiday much like their southern neighbors with a turkey dinner, football and family time and you can enjoy this holiday in a tropical setting. Daiquiri Dick's Restaurant will be serving up a feast.

Executive Chef Ignacio Uribe, Chef de Cuisine Hugo Mejia and Sous Chef Rogelio Garcia have chosen some spectacular recipes and dinner is served from 5 to 11 pm. In addition to this special a la carte menu, the regular dinner menu is also available.
