50 Juried Artists in 2015 River of Art Expo at Oscar's

November 12, 2015

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The fourth annual 'El Río del Arte' art expo, to benefit the Colina Spray & Neuter clinic, is scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 6, from 12-6 pm, but this year it will be held at a new location: Oscar's Restaurant on the Isla Rio Cuale.

Puerto Vallarta's biggest art event offers paintings by more than 50 local and international artists, strolling professional musicians and performers, premium silent auction and raffle prizes... and entrance to the event is free!

"We're thrilled to present our 4th annual "River of Art" fundraiser for Colina Clinic on Oscar's picturesque and spacious grounds," Paso Ancho Art Association (PAAA) organizers and artists, Carolina Archer and Ada Colorina, said. "Many of our juried artists are offering their work for sale exclusively in this event, which benefits Colina Free Spay and Neuter Clinic."

The wide range of media includes watercolors, oils, mixed media, acrylic, charcoal and stained glass. Styles range from native portraits, landscape and folk to collage and contemporary. The largest gathering of artists in one place, River of Art draws enthusiastic crowds every year.

"Moving to the Oscar's location allows us more space for more artists and entertainment," notes new PAAA organizer and artist Victoria Rangel. This year's 'bigger-than-ever' event will feature generous donations of premium accommodations, gourmet dinners, and art wear for the Silent Auction and Raffle.

"We hope to increase our donations to Colina Free Spay and Neuter Clinic this year," says Carolina, "With the growing number of owned and orphaned street dogs, Colina needs critical funds to meet the escalating needs and costs."

Throughout the lushly landscaped grounds of the event, guests can meet artists, buy art, and be entertained by strolling professional musicians and performers including Lorena Peril and Ray Jon (PV and Las Vegas headliners) Circo de los Ninos, Los Polvitos (charming young Mariachis), Mikki Prost (popular singer on Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta stages), and more.

And no one goes hungry as Oscar's Chef is creating a special River of Art event menu available all afternoon under the sheltered large outdoor Dining Room.

See you there to mingle, buy, sip and socialize!
