This Week's Line Up of Stars at Act II Entertainment

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - If you haven't been to STAGES recently, you don't know what you're missing! Act II Entertainment is 'Raising The Bar In Puerto Vallarta Entertainment,' offering a full line-up of music, theater and fun this week in The Red Room Cabaret, on the Main Stage, and in the Encore Piano Bar.

Jai Rodriguez: "Dirty Little Secrets" - Dec 1, 2, 4 at 9:30 & Dec 3 at 7:30

Emmy Award-winning television host and Broadway singer/performer Jai Rodriguez began his career at age 18 when he was cast in the role of Angel in the critically acclaimed Broadway musical RENT. Jai continued his Broadway career appearing in shows like The Producers and Spinning Into Butter, and he created and performed the title role of Zanna in the Off-Broadway sensation Zanna, Don't! In tandem with his Broadway career, Jai became a star in the firmament of New York City nightlife when he created his long-running Twisted Cabaret, a concert series that ran for three consecutive years at one of New York City’s most notable hot spots – Club XL. Most recognized for his role in Bravo's culturally ground breaking series Queer Eye For The Straight Guy - A dynamic vocalist, Jai has had the honor of sharing the stage singing duets with musical legends like Gladys Knight, Patti Labelle, Brian McKnight, Taylor Dayne and Michelle Williams. Jai was featured in Lady Gaga's video, Telephone, featuring Beyoncé.

Forever Plaid: Plaid Tidings

The legendary Plaids come back to earth to spread yuletide joy with the greatest Holiday hits of the ages. Forever Plaid: Plaid Tidings is a brand-new show that offers the best of Forever Plaid tied-up in a nifty package with a big Christmas bow on top! Filled with Christmas standards that have all been "Plaid-erized," our boys are back to do their Christmas Special. Starring local performers, Elvis Martinez, Alfonso Lopez, Roberto Duran and Jose Maria Caudillo with Bob Bruneau at the piano. Forever Plaid is proudly produced by Act II Entertainment

The Skivvies - Dec 2 at 7:30 & Dec 3 at 9:30 in The Red Room

International award winning performers - The Skivvies - are Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley, singer/actor/musicians performing stripped down arrangements of eclectic covers and eccentric originals. Not only is the music stripped down - cello, ukulele, glockenspiel, melodica - but the Skivvies literally strip down to their underwear to perform.

'Married and Looking' - December 2 & 4 at 7:30 pm in The Red Room

Show biz professionals, Lorena Peril and Ray Jon present Married and Looking, which includes singing, dancing, comedy, improv, audience interaction, musicians, dance, acting, impressions and more. It's a little like Sonny Bono meets Charro, and they are performing their Vegas style show throughout the season every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:30 pm.

Respect: A Musical Journey of Women - Dec 3, 4, 5 at 7 pm on The Main Stage

From "Someone to Watch Over Me" to "I Will Survive." It's the journey of women, told through Top-40 music in the new musical production, RESPECT: A Musical Journey of Women. From the co-dependence of "I Will Follow Him" to the anger of "These Boots are Made for Walking," to the cynicism of "What's Love Got to Do with it," and finally to the strength of "Hero." Combining excerpts of 60 songs with women's own stories about finding dreams, lost love, relationship issues, entering the workforce, gaining independence, and more, this show is "exhilarating!" It's more than just a story worth telling, it's a must-see and must-hear.

Elviz Martinez: Come Fly Away! Season II - Dec 5 at 7:30 pm in The Red Room

Local performer and co star of the smash hit Forever Plaid, Elviz Martinez, closes his new show "An Evening with Elviz Martinez, Come Fly Away" in the Red Room Cabaret with Musical Director Bob Bruneau at the piano on Dec 5. Last year Elviz debuted his first concert at Act II to sold out standing room only shows so get your tickets fast! (Elviz will be performing his Acoustical show March 5, 12, 19, and 26th.)

Sutton Lee Seymour: The Way Off Broad! - Dec 5 at 9:30 pm in The Red Room

"Sutton Lee Seymour: The Way Off Broad!" is a comedic celebration of Broadway, Hollywood, and Disney starring the live singing Gown Clown of New York City! Pounding the pavement and clawing her way to the top, Sutton Lee Seymour will stop at nothing until she has achieved world domination. Sutton Lee Seymour is the Queen of The NYC Cabaret stages now brings her award winning talent to The Red Room. Sutton Lee Seymour the manic love child of Liza. Minnelli, Chita Rivera, Agnes Moorehead, Ethel Merman and countless golden aged divas who has become the toast of the NYC drag / cabaret community, and in demand entertainer, and now an international headliner. - New World Stages NYC

Paul Fracassi: Legends of The 50's and 60's - Dec 6 at 7:30 pm in The Red Room


Canadian Idol finalist Paul Fracassi, who has made himself famous in Puerto Vallarta performing his Walk Like a Man tribute to Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, brings another one of his popular shows, Legends of the 50's and 60's, back to the Red Room. On Sunday nights at 7:30 pm, Paul will curl his lip and flip his collar once again to relive the 50's and 60's through the music of Elvis Presley, Frankie Valli, Frank Sinatra, Davy Jones, Buddy Holly, Bobby Darin and more! (Walk Like a Man returns to The Red Room on Wednesday nights at 7:30 pm, starting December 9th.)

The Voice Of Vallarta Season 3
Dec 6 at 8 pm on The Main Stage

The show that received the prestigious BEST OF award from Vallarta Lifestyles Returns to the Main Stage! Once again the highest attended show in Vallarta history is looking for the best singer in the Bay of Banderas. Look for many changes this year starting with the addition of Alfonso Lopez as co executive producer. Alfonso is looking forward to lending his many years as a educator, director and performer to the show. Hosted once again by Juan Pablo Hernandez who turns Spanglish into an art form! This year taking the judges chairs are: Act II Musical director and VOV producer, Head judge, Alfonso Lopez. NYC Cabaret star and Red Room Headliner Sutton Lee Seymour, Vallarta Showman Edgar Sanchez and weekly guest judges. The Voice of Vallarta will run every Sunday till the big closing night March 2Oth.

Christine Deaver "Showgirl" - Dec 6 at 9:30 pm in The Red Room

"If Bette Midler and Lady Gaga had a love child, the result would be Christine Deaver. Christine has been starring for the past 12 years in the cirque/cabaret/theatrical productions of TeatroZinzanni in Seattle and San Francisco. There she has written and created over 15 original characters that the press have called "daring", "sensual", "pee your pants funny", "she looks good in a moustache" and "what was she thinking?" She has written and performed several one-woman shows including Ah, Families, Leave It To Deaver and Bodacious, and toured them throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Christine recently debuted her current one woman show, "Showgirl", in Palm Springs, which is also the title of her solo CD she released last year. She is thrilled to be making her Puerto Vallarta debut on stage at Act II.

Act II Entertainment will continue to bring the highest level of entertainment to Puerto Vallarta throughout the Winter.
