Excitement Builds for Vallarta's 2016 Mardi Gras Parade

Offering excitement for all ages, the parade will be held on Tuesday, February 9, starting in front of the Sheraton Hotel at 8 pm. So gather your masks and friends and get ready to catch beads by the handful!

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - If you're still suffering from holidays hangover, brace yourself: Puerto Vallarta's Mardi Gras Parade is back, and it's bigger and better than ever!

Imagine dozens of floats and hundreds of people sauntering up the world-famous Malecón to Puerto Vallarta's Old Town in a dazzling array of sequins, feathers, leathers and speedos to celebrate the pride and diversity of the special season.

Offering fun and excitement for all ages, the parade will be held on Tuesday, February 9th, and start in front of the Sheraton Hotel at 8:00 pm. So gather your masks and friends and get ready to catch beads by the handful as our dazzling parade winds its way through Puerto Vallarta's world-famous Malecón to our stunning new pier with incredible floats, colorful costumes, towering stilt walkers, street performers and dancers.

Over 30,000 spectators are expected to watch the parade. So join in the fun and frivolity along with Art Vallarta, Singer Elviz Martinez, Reinas Bar, PVRPV.com, Andales, Alas Escuela de canto, Apaches Martini Bar and Bistro, Robert Forsey, Casa Karma Boutique Resort, Bar Frida, Miss Francine Peters, Linda's Nail Lounge, La Piazzetta, Villa Savana, 22228 Peter McGinnis, No Way José!, Grupo Alika Belly Dance, and other participating locals, businesses, groups and organizations.

The eighth annual parade wraps up the week-long carnaval festivities that starts with a Make Your Own Mask Workshop on February 2nd, and includes a Jazz and Beer Festival, a Kids and Family Day, a Pet Parade and other activities intended to show the world our vibrant community.
