This Week's Line Up at Nacho Daddy/Boutique Theatre

April 12, 2016

Bringing you live theater, live music, sports, game nights and the best Mex Tex food in Puerto Vallarta, Nacho Daddy is located at Basilio Badillo #287 on PV's Southside. Click HERE for this week's events.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Known as THE place to go for affordable nightlife in Puerto Vallarta's Zona Romantica, Nacho Daddy Mexico is where locals, ex-pats and tourists from around the world gather to eat, drink, dance, listen to great music, or catch a great show.

The upstairs now has a new layout and stage for enjoying live music at night and a variety of shows from The Boutique Theatre - Puerto Vallarta's only dinner theater. Here's what's playing this week - and beyond!

"Timeless" - Starring Mikki Prost
Every Wednesday at 7:30 pm

"Timeless" an original new musical evening, starring singer Mikki Prost, accompanied by Victor Vega, opens Wednesday, April 6th, and will play every Wednesday at 7:30 pm. Boutique audiences will recognize the name Mikki Prost, the creator and star of her popular live tribute shows to Patsy Cline and Connie Francis. Her newest show is a treasured collection of songs from her past shows, as well as shows she and Vega have performed together. "Victor will be delighting you with his beautiful guitar solos," Prost said. "We'll also be teasing you with a few songs for next season's show." With Victor's vast musical history and teaching experience, he will be showcasing a different talented student each week. Mikki Proust and Victor Vega will encourage song suggestions from the audience, to be presented at the following week's show.

"The Tomorrow Box"
April 21-30

A heart-warming, funny and ultimately illuminating family comedy-drama by one of Canada's leading playwrights, will be directed by Ralph Hyman. Hyman is the founder and retired artistic director of "The Weekend Theater," in Little Rock, Ark, He has directed 57 productions and acted in 40 shows during the theater's 22-year history. Hyman has moved to Puerto Vallarta for his retirement, and is delighted to be directing in his second season at The Boutique Dinner Theater. Last season, he directed a readers' theater production of "Chatting with the Tea Party."

"The Tomorrow Box" is about the revolt of a previously compliant farm wife, against the highhanded behavior of her authoritarian husband. The play brings engaging new insights to a vital topic, women's liberation. Written by Anne Chislett, the play's exploration of family life will appeal to a wide audience. The ensemble piece stars veteran Boutique actresses Alice Averett, Josie MacGillivray and Catherine Beeghly.

The Boutique is also delighted to introduce two new actors to the local scene, Tom Campbell, and Sean Moore. Sean Moore is the owner of Nacho Daddy's, and lead singer for the bands "Dat Swang Thang" and "The Texas Embassy Blues Band."

Stage managers for "The Tomorrow Box" are Christine Fischer and Catalina Meders. The Tomorrow Box marks the first play that makes use of both stages recently constructed upstairs at Nacho Daddy. Director Ralph Hyman is using the main stage, and the adjoining band stage, for the scenes.

Sunday matinees for "The Tomorrow Box" are scheduled at 2 pm on April 25 and May 1.
