April 8, 2016

The Vallarta Pride organizing committee is happy to announce that the Grand Marshalls for Vallarta Pride 2016 will be Idan Matalon and the star of the Party in the Park will be Myriam Montemayor!

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The Vallarta Pride Organizing Committee is pleased to confirm the participation of Idan Matalon and Myriam Montemayor as Grand Marshalls for the city's 2016 LGBTTI pride festival, scheduled to be held from May 16 through 29 in this popular Mexican Pacific tourist destination.

Besides being one of the most popular personalities on LGBT YouTube, Idan Matalon is a journalist, audio and video producer, model and business executive. He is currently a columnist for the Israeli website Mako and vice president of marketing for Moovz (LGBT social network globally). In 2012, the publication Shalom Life placed him at number 20 on its list of the 50 Hottest Jewish Men.

Myriam Montemayor is an actress, singer and Mexican performer who rose to fame in 2002 by becoming the first winner of The Academy, a reality show produced by Mexican network TV Azteca. Her career has led her to receive many awards, gold, platinum and multiplatinum records.

So if you're a fan of these celebrities, do not miss the opportunity to see them in person during the Gay Pride Parade that will take place after 5 pm on Saturday May 28, 2016.

But the list of prominent personalities who will participate in the 2016 Pride Vallarta does not end there. The Organizing Committee has also confirmed the attendance of Morganna Love (the Grand Marshall for 2015) as VIP this year.

Finally, the 3-day International Film Festival, which will be held from May 22-24, 2016, will include the participation of Shari Frilot, an international filmmaker brought directly from the Sundance Film Festival. Frilot is known for its productions for various television networks, as well as independent films like Strange & Charmed, A Cosmic Demonstration of Sexuality, What Is a Line? and the Black Nations / Queer Nation? documentary.
