Puerto Vallarta Mayor, Arturo Dávalos Peña, and DIF President, Candelaria Tovar, presented a certificate of recognition to Eva Contreras Sandoval, the President of the Eagle Wings Foundation, for their good works.

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - The Eagle Wings Foundation made their annual contribution to Banderas Bay area civil associations late last month, with Mayor Arturo Dávalos Peña, and his wife, Candelaria Tovar de Dávalos, the president of DIF Puerto Vallarta, bearing witness.

This year, the Eagle Wings Foundation contributed a total of $2,591,200 pesos with the support of Villas Group Resort, which the Mayor said 'is a great group of people committed to the welfare of Vallartans, and valuable allies in the municipal government's continuing efforts to support the most vulnerable members of our community and make Puerto Vallarta an Inclusive City.'

The funds were distributed to thirty-two Banderas Bay area non-profit organizations, making it possible for them to continue their altruistic works.

Some of the local non-profit associations which received funds were: Becas Vallarta, Asilo San Juan Diego, Guerreros contra las Adicciones, SETAC, Casa Hogar Máximo Cornejo, Torpedos, Piratas de la Bahía, Ayudemos a Vallarta, Clínica de Rehabilitación Santa Bárbara, Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza, Pro Biblioteca de Vallarta, Mamás Unidas por la Rehabilitación de sus Hijos, Ahora es Tiempo de Dar, Banco de Alimentos, ANSPAC, Horizonte de Paz, Dives In Misericordia.

In giving recognition to the President of the Eagle Wings Foundation, Eva Contreras Sandoval, for the important work, the Mayor highlighted the principles, values and commitment of those who make up this foundation, which every year supports various Banderas Bay area charitable organizations so that they can continue to provide care and ensure the welfare of local families.

He further noted that each of the civil associations are key to the city, saying "thank you all very much for your altruistic work and the enthusiastic support you have always given us; often the council can not provide the service that you provide to those in need."

DIF President Candelaria Tovar de Dávalos urged the beneficiary associations to maximize the resources that were provided, and reiterated the support Eva Contreras has given the DIF, which this time received a donation of more than 200,000 pesos for its Mexican Association for the Comprehensive Family (AMSIF), Scholarship, and Comprehensive Disability Care (PAID) programs.

"Thank you for every donation you give us, but especially this year's because it allows us to continue working with Familias Unidas con Valores. With this support we can bring the AMSIF program to more women who will have the opportunity to improve their self-esteem and learn activities that help generate an income for their families. Our little ones will also benefit from your support of the scholarship and PAID programs, which will help our children continue with their studies and concentrate on getting good grades," she said.

The event was also attended by the Eagle Wings Foundation's Chairman of Inspection and Surveillance, Juan Carlos Rios; the Directors of Eagle Wings, Sara Cardona and Cesar Sanchez; and representatives of the 32 Puerto Vallarta civil associations that benefitted.

About the Eagles Wing Foundation: The mission of the Eagles Wing Foundation is to provide assistance to charitable groups in the Puerto Vallarta area, the nearby state of Nayarit, and Cabo San Lucas.
