Vallarta Democrats Abroad Present 'The Other Side of Immigration'

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - As part of their Every Tuesday Night Film series, the Costa Banderas Chapter of Democrats Abroad Mexico is proud to present this week's movie, 'The Other Side of Immigration.' This 2010 documentary film, directed by Roy Germano, will be shown at The Jazz Foundation in downtown Puerto Vallarta on January 31st at 7:00 pm.

The Other Side of Immigration, January 31st

Based on over 700 interviews in rural Mexican towns, where about half the population has left to work in the United States, The Other Side of Immigration asks why so many Mexicans come to the U.S. and what happens to the families and communities they leave behind. The filmmaker Roy Germano challenges audiences to imagine more creative and effective solutions to the problem. Roy Germano holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Texas at Austin.

Advance tickets can be purchased after 6:00 pm daily at the Jazz Foundation for a donation of 60 pesos. On screening days, tickets can be purchased at the door for 70 pesos. Please come early (doors open at 6 pm) and enjoy fantastic food and drinks before the film starts.
