'Voces Unidas por Los Niños' to Benefit Casa Hogar

February 16, 2017

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - On February 18th at 6:30 pm, Plataforma 322 in Colonia Versalles will present sopranist Gabriel Delgadillo and singer-songwriter Kharla Barragán in Voces Unidas por Los Niños, a benefit concert for the 42 children who live at the Casa Hogar Máximo Cornejo orphanage in Puerto Vallarta.

In addition to enjoying various musical genres, attendees can participate in a raffle for great prizes, with drawings held throughout the course of the evening. During the night, the sopranist Gabriel Delgadillo will showcase his unique voice interpreting opera arias, boleros, tangos and ballads in both English and Spanish. For her part, Kharla Barragán, accompanied by her faithful guitar, will show her ability to interpret music and the depth of her compositions in various musical genres.

The tone of Gabriel Delgadillo's voice allows him to reach very high ranges that are rarely heard. Despite artistic activity being his main profession, Gabriel stands out for supporting different altruistic causes in both Puerto Vallarta and Tepic through his music.

In spite of her youth, Kharla Barragán has been practicing music for 18 years, a period during which she has composed vocal ensemble for several shows and plays. She has been a singing and guitar teacher at different institutions and has participated in the composition of themes with different artists, among many other activities. She is currently the Director of the Alas Escuela de Canto in Puerto Vallarta.

In addition to supporting Casa Hogar through the purchase of tickets to the show, attendees will be able to make in kind donations of household products like bleach, Pinol, Fabuloso, powdered soap and baby powder, and fresh food items such as ham, hot dogs, cheese, flour tortilla, fruit and vegetables.

For 24 years, Casa Hogar Máximo Cornejo has been dedicated to improving the lives of orphaned, abandoned, disadvantaged or vulnerable children. At present, there are 42 young people who require everyone's support to continue having the dignified life that the institution offers them. Click HERE to learn more.
