Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The Summer is flying by and shows no sign of slowing down at Act II Stages, where you can hear some of the best voices in Puerto Vallarta, get a sneak-peek at two upcoming Red Room cabaret shows, and audition for the Winter season's shows, like 'Rocky Horror' and 'Xanadu.'

In fact, auditions for Act II's next big musical production, the hit Broadway musical, Xanadu, which is scheduled to open in January 2018, will be held at STAGES on Saturday, July 15 at 5:00 pm.

Also this week, don't forget that tonight's the night for the most fun you'll have all week at Bob's Karaoke Party! Join us in the air-conditioned Encore Lounge for drink specials from 6:00 pm till 9:00 pm, and Karaoke starting at 8:00 pm. On Friday, the Dionisio Theater Group's new Spanish-language play, El Estigma Ardiente, returns to the Main Stage with all proceeds going to SETAC, the local community center dedicated to HIV prevention.

ACT II's "Spotlight On Vallarta" Summer Series is a Hit!

Act II, in its effort to provide top-quality, year-round entertainment to the Puerto Vallarta community, has created a brand-new summer series called Spotlight on Vallarta! with some of the incredibly talented people who live here full-time taking The Red Room stage on Thursday nights.

Venezuelan Recording Artist, Emperatriz
July 13th, August 17th & 24th at 7:30 pm

After the incredible debut of her first cabaret show in Puerto Vallarta on July 6, Venezuelan recording artist Emperatriz Valles will return to The Red Room on Thursday, July 13th at 7:30 pm. Accompanied by her husband Alejandro Alcalá on acoustic guitar, Emperatriz captivated the audience with her rich, velvety tone as she performed a variety of soulful Latin songs, some of them originals that she recorded in Venezuela, on the opening night of her Spotlight on Vallarta show, entitled 'Libre.' A "Trinity" of Voice of Vallarta Stars

On July 20 at 7:30 pm, Act II's newest singing sensation, "Trinity," will take the stage for the second performance of their new Spotlight on Vallarta show. Starring "The Voice of Vallarta" winners from 2015, 2016 and 2017, Ana Letuka Adame, Eli Estrada and Emperatriz Valles, each of these girls is an artist in her own right, but when they come together, they create magic! "UsTwo" Makes Stage Debut in The Red Room

Act II is excited to welcome the amazing musical duo, "UsTwo," for the first time on its stage on Saturday, July 22, at 7:30 pm. Although new to Act II, UsTwo is definitely NOT new to the music scene. The beautiful Noemi Plasencia is from Guadalajara and studied at the Conservatory of Music at the University of Guadalajara. Daniel Celis is from Cordoba, Veracruz and studied at the Conservatory of Music in Querétaro. Both Noemi and Daniel sang in various bands around Mexico, but in 2012, Noemi and Daniel discovered each other and melded their incredible talents, creating an amazing chemistry together!

UsTwo has performed in many parts of Mexico, as well as the United States and Canada. They specialize in singing re-mastered arrangements of classic favorites and are much in demand at many of the major hotels in Puerto Vallarta, including the Sheraton, Garza Blanca, Vidanta, the Marriott and the Four Seasons, among others.

People are raving about the absolute beauty of their sound.

"Motown and Beyond"

We are so excited to present the amazing Diana Villamonte in the debut of her Red Room Cabaret Show for the winter season, "Motown and Beyond!" Her show is a musical tribute (in English) to the great ladies of Motown and Beyond, such as Diana Ross, Shirley Bassey, Whitney Houston, Anita Ward, Etta James, Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin and Donna Summer.

Diana has quite an extensive background as an artist. She sang her first solo at her aunt's wedding at the age of 3, and since then has studied music, ballet, modeling and theater. She entered her first singing competition at age 10 and also performed in several local plays.

In 2014, she won the Karaoke World Championship in Stockholm, Sweden, and was asked to participate in the Tokyo International Karaoke competition for the following two years. She sang as the "guest artist" at the competition in Singapore in 2015. Then, as a result of the notoriety she received after her karaoke successes, she was asked to star in a reality show on television in Central America. She now has a huge television following!

Diana was also a member of a band called "The Players" for two years at the Hard Rock Hotel Panama, has produced two singles, "Te Amo" and "Running," (available on YouTube), and just finished a stint as one of the main singers at the fabulous Rhythms of the Night.

Diana gained our attention as she competed in the Voice of Vallarta 2017. Each week, she demonstrated her amazing versatility as a musician, wowing the audience and judges with her singing ability and incredible stage presence, and she received perfect 10's almost every week.

This young lady is one of the most talented people we have ever met, and she is destined to be a huge star! We are beyond excited that Diana has agreed to perform here at Act II, so we invite you to come to the opening night of Motown and Beyond on Thursday, July 27 at 7:30 pm.
