Volcanes Kids Education Project Benefit at Casa Karma

November 3, 2017

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Up against the mountains on the eastern edge of the Pacific coast resort city of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, lies the impoverished suburb of Colonia Volcanes. As Primary Schools in poor Mexican neighborhoods don't have English teachers or computers, their students often can't even compete.

So, in 2011, the Volcanes Community Education Project (VCEP), a non-government funded English and computer program, was established to help students in this neighborhood develop key qualifications for future employment opportunities - free of charge.

It was a great hit from day one. Within months, the classrooms were filled with children learning English as well as Computers.

Today, the program suffers from low teacher funding and a lack of operating funds, so Volcanes Project supporters are hosting a party to raise the monies needed.

We recently received a letter from event coordinator, Jim Lee, who invites everyone to join them at Casa Karma Boutique Hotel on Thursday, November 9th, for a very special evening benefiting the Volcanes Community Education Project. It read:

Dear Supporter of the Volcanes Project:

The Volcanes Project needs your help TODAY. It does not have enough operating funds to meet the basic needs over the next few months, including teacher's salaries and supplies for the kids. We are throwing a "hurry-up" benefit to raise this money, so please consider either coming to the event or buying a ticket anyway if you can't come and we'll invite a member of the Volcanes community who would not otherwise be able to come. And of course, your direct donations are always welcome. Contact me to set that up too.

I want to personally invite you to join us on Thursday, November 9th, for a very special evening benefiting the Volcanes Project.

A Romantic Night Under the Stars
Benefit for Volcanes Kids Education Program
6:00 PM November 9, 2017 at Casa Karma Boutique Hotel

Come enjoy a romantic evening under the stars to benefit the Volcanes Kids Education Program. The night will feature recording artist Freddie Alva and surprise guest performers. Eat, drink and dance the night away overlooking the beautiful sunset shore at Casa Karma Boutique Resort.

Exquisite hors d'oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be available. This event will kick off the 2017-2018 Adopt Volcanes Campaign, which provides before and after school activities and education for over 350 children in one of the poorest colonias in Vallarta. Tickets are only $50 USD each. All proceeds from the event go to Volcanes.

The goal for this campaign is to introduce new potential donors to our program, and establish "Adoptive" donors who will make a minimum $30 USD per month pledge to help support paying ongoing teachers' salaries and supplies. You do not have to make a pledge to come to this event.

Make a difference in even just one child's life and you can change the world. Please Click HERE to book your tickets now. Secure online reservations can be made via the ticketleap.com site - just search for 'Volcanes Benefit' to make yours today.

Thank you for considering this donation,
Jim Lee
