Talks about Mexico for Expats in Puerto Vallarta Resume

January 18, 2018

For more information, visit ConnectWithMexico.com, or send an email to connectwithmexico(at)gmail.com.

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - If you are an English-speaking expat in Puerto Vallarta, come to The Boutique Theatre every Sunday at 2:00 pm to Connect with Mexico! This series of weekly conversations is a fun way to learn about Mexican art, culture, and the stories behind the doings and sayings of the Mexican people.

Connect with Mexico - Mexico explained, in plain English.

• Learn about Mexican culture, geography, history, literature, art, government and its many peoples.

• Gain a greater appreciation of the stories behind the doings and sayings of Mexicans.

• Interact more and better with those Mexicans with whom you come in contact.

Join us on Sunday, January 21st, and every Sunday through March 25th, at 2:00 pm as we explore this intriguing and complex nation... together and in your language.

Conversation Topics Include:

January 21, 2018 - Barbarous Mexico, or My Gentle Homeland?
As most countries, Mexico is full of contradictions, if only highlighted by bright colors and thunderous sounds. In our first very ambitious session let's talk about Mexican geography and territory; let's point to the nation's history; let's also touch on its many peoples and on how they are governed. What else? Whatever is in your mind and in your experience of the country.

January 28, 2018 - Politics and Government: Who Rules Mexico?
Ruling the people of Mexico is no easy task, some have said. How does the country's political system work, or does it? When was its Constitution passed? Why are excellent laws already in the books seldom enforced? Who manages and benefits from government's entities, influence and power? What have you to say about this country's public institutions? Come and share!

We hope to see you soon in our Connect with Mexico dialogues. There's no doubt we can all learn something, enjoy each other's company, and together gain new insights on how to enjoy Mexico even more. The cost is $250 Pesos per person per session. (If you want to enjoy a meal at Nacho Daddy before the presentation, you can get a package price of only $530 Pesos.) Tickets are on sale now at The Boutique Theatre or online at btpv.org.

For more info, visit ConnectWithMexico.com, or email connectwithmexico(at)gmail.com.

The Boutique Theater is located upstairs at Nacho Daddy, a popular restaurant, bar and music venue located at Basilio Badillo #287 on the south side of Puerto Vallarta.
