Puerto Vallarta Garden Club May Events and Activities

May 1, 2018

This month, the Puerto Vallarta Garden Club kicks off the first of many summer socials that they will be hosting for PVGC members that live here full time, or those who are visiting during the 'low' season.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The PV Garden Club's mission is to beautify and protect the environment through civic planting projects and educational & horticultural programs for the enjoyment of Puerto Vallarta residents and visitors. Here's the latest news from the PVGC and some upcoming events you won't want to miss.

For those of us in Vallarta, it feels like summer is just around the corner. As such, we will begin the first of many summer socials that we will host for those members that live here full time, or that are visiting us in the summer months. Stay tuned for more announcements. In May, we have 2 events:

Friday, May 4, 6:30 pm - Sunset Reception
Rodolfo Gomez 393, Condo Cielo Unit 501

Hosts John and Barbara McKinney have invited us over for a sunset reception on their beautiful outdoor terrace and garden. Make plans to join us at 6:30 pm for this wonderful outing. Parking is very difficult, so taking a taxi or Uber is highly recommended. Also, food will be served. If you plan to join us, please RSVP to davidmuck(at)yahoo.com, so our hosts can plan accordingly.

Directions/Instructions from the McKinney's: "Our condo is located on a small segment of Rodolfo Gomez (off Aguacate), across the street from El Palomar de Los Gonzales restaurant and the new V Estrella condo. From Hwy. 200, come up Pulpito, pass the old Vista Grill, then turn left on Aguacate and left again on Rodolfo Gomez (Our street looks like a down hill driveway). Cabs find us easily with the restaurant names. Uber will find us too looking for El Palomar, but sometimes don't see Rodolfo Gomez on GPS and will wander around. When you arrive at our building, our mozo will let you in, then take the elevator to the 5th floor."

May 17, 5:00 pm - Zoe Wood and Eduardo Leon
Incanto, Upstairs Piano Bar

Guitarist/Singer/Composer Zoe Wood has been one of the Banderas Bay's favorite guitarists/singers for 14 years. She has written and recorded 6 CDs of original music and is currently working on a new collection of all original instrumentals with Eduardo Leon and Rigoberto Mora. Zoe performs Nuevo Flamenco instrumentals, Jazz and Latin Standards, and Mexican classics with her own special style.

Guitarist and singer Eduardo Leon is one of Vallarta's most talented and respected musicians. He is a founding member of the popular local band, Piel Canela, and performed at this year's Fiesta Azul, our 2018 Gala. He is really a wonderful entertainer and we look forward to seeing him again.

There is no cover charge for this event; just purchase your own drinks. Incanto is located at Insurgentes 109 at the Rio Cuale, we look forward to seeing you there!
