Vallarta Summer Camps Keep Kids Active and Engaged

There is a wide selection of summer camps available in Puerto Vallarta for all different interests and ages. Most of the camps offer weekly sessions, so your kids can mix and match for a full summer of fun.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Far from being just place for sunny, safe retirement living, Puerto Vallarta has a large population of expat families raising their children in our beautiful city. With school finishing up for the year, it's time to find some fun, summer activities to keep kids active and engaged during the school break.

There is a wide selection of summer camps available in Puerto Vallarta for all different interests and ages. Here are a few that you may want to check out.


• Biblioteca Los Mangos: our city library offers all sorts of classes for kids this summer including art, dance, theater, reading clubs, Japanese classes, yoga and more, for kids starting as young as age three up to teenagers. For more information, click HERE, or visit BibliotecaLosMangos.org.

• Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu: kids ages 4 to 12 can study martial arts, cooking classes, arts and crafts, and learn about recycling in this camp that is perfect for active youngsters. Call 322-889-9756 for more information.

• Academica de Musica Mexico: inspiring a passion for music in kids aged 4 to 14 years with instruction in piano, violin and ukulele. Call 322-201-5535 for more information.

• Lumbuck and Jumpbuck: children ages 1 (walking) to 9 years can stay active with dance, sports, art, science and more at this camp designed to engage and educate inquisitive young minds. Call 293-6692 for more information.

• Ameyali: this ecologically-focused school opens their grounds for summer fun with an environmental and socially responsible focus. Run by the school's athletic coach and several teaching assistants, your kids will have lots of physical activity in a fun, learning-based summer program.

Other great summer camps will be hosted by the British American School and the American School Puerto Vallarta, and for little swimmers, Acuática Escualos hosts their annual summer swim camp with activities in and outside of the pool.
