SETAC Community Center 2nd Annual Red Ribbon Gala

October 22, 2018

Tickets for the Second Annual Red Ribbon Gala are now on sale, and available by calling the SETAC Community and Wellness Center at (322) 224-1974, or by emailing contacto(at)setac.com.mx.

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - Tickets are now on sale for the Second Annual Red Ribbon Gala to benefit SETAC, a Puerto Vallarta non-profit whose mission is to reduce HIV and other STDs in the Banderas Bay region through education, detection and prevention. Last year's event sold out early, so get your tickets TODAY!

2017 Red Ribbon Gala and its Success

The First Annual Red Ribbon Gala, held last December at the Casa Karma Boutique Hotel in Conchas Chinas, was extremely successful, selling out a week in advance and raising almost $250,000 pesos. The 2017 event was produced by Mexico Event Design and LOve Producciones y Eventos, who successfully convened renowned chefs, along with local and international performers, to the delight of the 120 guests that enjoyed this incredible evening of fun and friendship.

In the months since, and based on the success of that event, we have been able to:

• Open the "SETAC LGBTQ Wellness Center Puerto Vallarta"

• Expand the scope of our services - we have brought on a full-time doctor, a full-time psychologist, and an alternative therapist to provide more services like HIV 4th generation tests for early detection and a rapid test for other sexually transmitted infections that can be treated on site by our doctor.

• And we are now one of only TWO locations in all of Mexico offering free pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) medication to local residents via a grant from the United Nations!

Plans for the 2018 Red Ribbon Gala

This year's Second Annual Red Ribbon Gala will be held on Wednesday, December 5 from 6:00-10:00 pm at Mantamar Beach Club on Playa Los Muertos. With the much larger venue, up to 250 guests will be able to enjoy the sunset right on the beach!

The evening will begin on 'just the right note,' with a professional wine tasting led by Nina Goodhope of Cork & Bottle.

Another long list of local chefs has already agreed to participate this year, this time in an innovative and collaborative format. The chefs have paired up to plan a number of stunning gourmet items for a four-course sit-down gala dinner.

Participating Chefs include:

• Gόnther Auerbach Casillas - Molecular Chef
• Gerardo Sandoval - Sandoval Catering
• Everardo Robles Soltero - Le Kliff Restaurant
• Thierry Blouet - Cafι des Artistes Restaurant
• Memo Wulff - Barrio Bistro Restaurant
• Elias Sapien - Catering
• Simone Bigazzi - Da Simone Restaurant
• Elvira Prado Robles - Taste Restaurant, Casa Cupula
• Omar Garcia - La Vaca Argentina Restaurant
• Salvatore Domanti - La Posta
• Joel Ornelas - Tintoque Restaurant

The list of this year's entertainers and performers is still under development but, with the gala once again being planned and organized by local event designers Yanina Haddad from LOve Producciones PV and Robert Schley of Mexico Event Design, the entertainment promises to be outstanding once again.

Tickets are now on sale and are available by calling (322) 224-1974 or emailing contacto(at)setac.com.mx.

General admission tickets with open seating cost just $2000 pesos, entire tables with reserved seating are $20,000 pesos, and VIP tables (10 seats) with best proximity to the stage are available for $25,000 pesos. The gala promises to sell out again, so don't wait too long to get yours!
