Oficina de Proyectos Culturales Celebrates 5 Years in PV

June 3, 2019

Located at Juarez #598 at the corner of Aldama in downtown Puerto Vallarta, the Oficina de Proyectos Culturales is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of Contemporary Art.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - On June 8, the Oficina de Proyectos Culturales (Office of Cultural Projects, or OPC), an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting art, education and culture to Puerto Vallarta residents and visitors, will celebrate its 5th anniversary with music, food & friends.

Located right in the heart of the city, the OPC is a place of meditation, joy, generosity, and simplicity. It is a place to learn, to reflect, and to open your mind and heart through national and international art exhibitions, film screenings, lectures and youth workshops. But they need your help to continue offering these free events and services.

The party will start at 7:00 pm, and everyone is invited to come out to celebrate and support one of the most important cultural institutions in Puerto Vallarta. DJ Tellers will be in charge of the entertainment, and El Arrayán, Bar Solar, Cervecería el Terrible, and Uncork Mexico will provide delicious food and drinks.

All funds raised from the evening's activities, such as an art auction and raffles for products and services donated by generous local businesses, will support the OPC's wide range of always-free art exhibitions, cultural events, educational programs and workshops.

Since opening its doors on May 28, 2014, the OPC has hosted numerous workshops, lectures, cultural and artistic events, and more than 20 contemporary art exhibitions, including 'Promised Lands,' an exhibition about the global refugee crisis, which opened February 23 and has been extended by popular demand. This must-see expo, which includes a video installation, continues through July 27, 2019. Click HERE to learn more about this fascinating exhibit.

The Oficina de Proyectos Culturales is definitely an effort that deserves the support of everyone who loves Puerto Vallarta, so make plans now to come out and help them celebrate their 5th anniversary on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 7:00 pm.

Located at Juarez #598 at the corner of Aldama in downtown Puerto Vallarta, the Oficina de Proyectos Culturales (Office for Cultural Projects) (OPC) is an independent and non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of Contemporary Art through exhibitions, round tables, public art initiatives and educational services programs. It was created with the aim of contributing to the reflection on the contemporary sociocultural and artistic environment, with the vocation to share with the inhabitants and visitors of Puerto Vallarta. OPC works with different creators such as artists, architects, curators, academics and writers who contribute to the construction of our notion of the city and contribute to the cultural panorama linked to Puerto Vallarta but of global reach.
