RISE for Hope Fundraiser, February 7th
The 7th annual RISE for HOPE fundraiser benefiting the Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza children's shelter in Puerto Vallarta is just around the corner. This once a year gala party raises much of the money needed to run the shelter that is home to approximately 50 children.

Every party needs some fabulous food, and there will be tantalizing treats from many of the best places in town. La Palapa, Vista Grill, Tikul, Daiquiri Dick's, Trio, Vitea, DeSantos and many other Puerto Vallarta restaurants will serve samples of their best menu items.

Authentic Mexican entertainment sure to wow party-goers includes the Xiutla dancers, a repeat visit from little Carlitos back to sing, a Charro rope show, and a Mariachi band. The show stopper will be the singing and dancing of the adorable kids from RISE.

The bar will be open throughout the event serving wine, beer and soft drinks.

The live auction features some outstanding items. The hot new restaurant, Japanice, is offering a party for 100 including appetizers, drinks and DJ in their skylight room under the stars. It is not only a fun night but in an elegant atmosphere. Local caterer Crystal Frost will make a delicious dinner for 8 to 12 at the fabulous Villa Balboa. The evening features a movie in the private screening room. A golf package, vacation stays, and a laptop computer are some of the other exciting items up for bid.

An exciting assortment of artisan crafts, gift certificates and more will be up for bids in the silent auction.

Raffle tickets will be available at the party and also in advance. A fabulous first prize has been donated by Air Canada - two round-trip tickets to any of their North American destinations, including Hawaii! Other raffle prizes are a signature red heart from Patti Gallardo and dinner for two at Café Bohemia. Raffle tickets are just $20 pesos each or 3 for $50 pesos and you do not have to be present to win.

Ticket prices have been kept the same price as last year - 400 pesos or $40 (US or Canadian) for pre-sale tickets, and 450 pesos or $45 at the door. Pre=sales end February 4th, so don't delay!

For those out-of-town or needing a quick ticket buying opportunity, tickets can be purchased using a credit card through Pay Pal. For more information visit Refugio-Infantil.org and click on "How to Make a Donation".

Reserved Patron Tables will be available for sponsors of a group of 10 people preferring a table reserved in a prime location, admission 1/2 hour in advance, and a waiter specifically to focus on their needs. These tables can be purchased at a cost of $7,500 pesos or $750 US/ Canadian by contacting Carmen Berkowitz at (322) 222-5713 or Connie Vincent at 221-5972.
