As we transition from a humid summer to a temperate fall, the PEACE team continues with a number of awesome projects in various communities throughout the Bahia de Banderas and beyond. It's incredible to see the growth and the inter-connectedness of our programs, and it's even more amazing seeing how PEACE is positively changing aspects of life in these communities! Read on to learn more about PEACE and our upcoming events.
PEACE Breakfast
Next Tuesday, November 24th at 9:30 am (Jalisco time) at El Coral Restaurant in Coral de Risco. Come learn about PEACE projects being carried out in the Bahía and beyond. Breakfast can be ordered from the menu for less than $90 pesos. PEACE Breakfasts will be held monthly through April. Contact Emily L'Hoist for more information: Emily(at)peacemexico.org.
PEACE "Real Home Tour" in Punta de Mita and Higuera Blanca
PEACE's first Real Home Tour kicks off on Friday, November 27th, at 10:30 am (Jalisco time). Tickets are $35 USD and will be sold in the Bucerias Plaza before the tour from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. The "Real Home Tour" leaves from the Bucerias Plaza at 10:30 am and returns at 2:30 pm. Contact YaVette for more information: Tours(at)peacemexico.org.
PEACE Open House
Come learn about PEACE programs and meet the PEACE team. We are holding an open house at Casa Campesina in Emiliano Zapata on Friday, December 4th, from 6-7 pm (Jalisco time). There will be live music from Los Tikiliches from 7-10 pm in the plaza. Come enjoy delicious food, live music, terrific raffle prizes and great conversation. No cover. PEACE Pet Picnic
All canines and their human companions are invited to the Fourth Annual Pet Picnic at Daiquiri Dick's Restaurant in Puerto Vallarta. This year's event will be on Saturday, December 5, 2009 starting at 11 am. In store - a gourmet boxed lunch for humans and a special doggie bag for your best friend - plus an exciting raffle. Tickets can be purchased at The Deli or Daiquiri Dick's. $225 pesos in advance or $275 pesos at the door.
Art & Philanthropy Boutique Sale

 A Banderas Bay non-profit organization, PEACE acts as an umbrella organization for four charitable programs, Casa Comunidad, Ayuda Los Animales (Help The Animals), a Women's Co-Op (Manos de Mujeres Unidas) and Community Pride. It is a U.S. non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, which accepts tax-deductible donations and a Mexican Civil Association that issues facturas for donations.
