April 21, 2010

The completion date for Vallarta Botanical Gardens' new conservatory, which will house The National Collection of Mexican Orchids, is scheduled for Fall 2010.
A long term goal is about to be realized at the Vallarta Botanical Gardens, as ground breaking begins on the Conservatory to house the National Collection of Mexican Orchids, the largest collection of native Mexican Orchids on public display anywhere in the country.

The design of this important new conservatory was inspired by the graceful plant houses of times-gone-by and will bring the glory and wonder of the rich orchid flora of Mexico to the pastoral setting here at Vallarta Botanical Gardens. Situated on a hillside overlooking the scenic foothills of the Sierra Madre, both residents of Puerto Vallarta and our visitors will explore a wonderful new venue while enjoying our beautiful landscape.

Funding for the completion of this exciting new project is still needed, and your donation will be recognized on an appreciation plaque to be permanently displayed in the Conservatory.

Donations to this incredible project are tax deductable in the US and can be made using the Internet on the Gardens' website at VallartaBotanicalGardensAC.org. Completion date is scheduled for Fall 2010.

Located 30 minutes south of Old Town at Km. 24 on Highway 200, Vallarta Botanical Gardens offer something to keep every age group happy; from a Rose Garden for the romantic to jungle trails for the adventurous and a Carnivorous Plants area for the younger generation! The Botanical Gardens' vibrant and elegant settings also offer the perfect venue for weddings and special occasions.
