February 11, 2011

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Famous Mexican recording artist Maria José will be performing for 1 night only on Friday, February 25th at 9:30 pm, in Vallarta’s beautiful performing arts venue, Teatro Vallarta.

Tickets are $650 Pesos for general seating and $850 Pesos for VIP seating, which includes access to an exclusive VIP lounge after the show including drinks and hors d’ oeuvres. Tickets are available at Vallarta Fitness in Plaza Galerias, at Plaza Caracol and at the theatre’s box office, located at Uruguay 184, just south of Ley’s grocery store on the main street as you enter downtown, Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am to 9 pm.

Maria José started her singing career as part of one of the most popular pop bands in Mexico, Kabah. In 2007 after being with Kabah for 13 years, she launched her solo career with her debut album Who Are You? which after only 2 weeks after its release, reached number 84 in the top 100 of all-time top-selling albums in Mexico.

Her style is varied from romantic ballads to dance and early in her solo career was nominated for "Best New Artist" from the Mexican Grammys. She has opened for superstars including Gwen Stefani and Rihanna, now Vallarta can experience this pop diva live in an intimate setting!

For years, locals have been yearning for a state-of-the-art performance space that could handle world-class touring productions. With the announcement of Maria José, expats, local nationals and visitors alike can now enjoy this top production without having to travel.

Come support the arts in Banderas Bay and purchase your tickets today to Maria José. While you are there, make sure to purchase tickets to Fandango; Teatro Vallarta’s vivid celebration of Mexican culture.
