Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Long considered one of the top gastronomic destinations in Mexico, Puerto Vallarta is home to a vast array of restaurants serving a wide variety of cuisines to suit every taste and budget.

But with so many great places to dine in the greater Banderas Bay area, it can be difficult to single out "the best of the best" so every year, Virtual Vallarta's Readers' Choice Awards give residents and visitors an easy way to acknowledge their favorite restaurants.

Now in it's tenth year, this annual online survey allows voters to determine who will be taking home the top honors in any or all categories of this locally coveted awards competition. Votes were cast online on VirtualVallarta.com from mid-December 2010 to June 15, 2011, at which point, 1490 people had taken the poll.

The people have spoken, and the Puerto Vallarta Restaurants chosen for 2011 were:
