Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - There was a whole lot of clowning around on the seaside patio of Daiquiri Dick's on December 3rd, as happy people and their pets had a tail-wagging good time at the 6th Annual Pet Picnic for PEACE.

"We actually extended our stay this year because every year this picnic is held the weekend after we leave," says Janet, who was attending the Pet Picnic for the first time. "We stayed in PV longer this year just for the pets because we love all the Puerto Vallarta animals, love supporting PEACE and the Pet Picnic is such fun."

Over 100 attended with just over half of those humans. Both two- and four-legged friends dug into their boxed lunches or doggie bags.

Everyone enjoyed a high flying exhibition by the Vallarta Pitbull Club, a fashion show by Posh Puppywear and Fab Fabric Fellows, an outstanding obedience contest, and the crowd favorite, the best dressed competition. There was also a raffle with loads of prizes.

"I like that everyone is coming down here to support the cause of the dogs spaying and neutering and rescuing animals," said Jaqueline, who lives in Puerto Vallarta full time, "I love that idea."

"I like to see all the dogs and the costumes... and it's a good cause," said Ellie, who was attending the Pet Picnic for the fourth time.

Over $12,000 pesos were raised for PEACE, a local non-profit association that conducts mobile, high-volume spay and neuter clinics throughout the Banderas Bay region, and everyone had such a howling good time that they're already looking forward to next year's event. Always a good time at Daiquiri Dick's... an exceptional experience.

Daiquiri Dick's contemporary design exudes a quiet elegance that invites relaxation, and its tropical location at Olas Altas 314 on Los Muertos Beach offers the perfect atmosphere for enjoying spectacular views of Banderas Bay.
