Democrats Abroad Every Tuesday Film: 'Departures'

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - As part of their Every Tuesday Movie Night film series, the Costa Banderas Chapter of Democrats Abroad will present Departures on January 31st at 7 pm at the Paradise Community Center on the Southside of Puerto Vallarta.

Departures

When his orchestra disbands, cellist Daigo Kobayashi decides to start over and moves back to his small hometown. Desperate for work, he secretly takes a job as a "Nokanshi," a funeral professional who prepares the deceased for burial and entrance into the next life. But, while working with the families of the departed, Daigo embarks on a spiritual journey of his own as he finally experiences the joy and wonder of living. Winner of numerous awards, including the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film of the Year 2009.

Don't miss your chance to see this fascinating film, presented by the Costa Banderas Chapter of Democrats Abroad, at the Paradise Community Center on Puerto Vallarta's South side next Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Doors open at 6 pm. Come early and enjoy gourmet burgers and other delicious options. Wine, beer and other refreshments available. The film will begin at 7 pm.

Tickets are available at the door on Tuesday night, at the Paradise Community Center (PCC) every day between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm, and at Deja New!, Jacarandas #280 on the South side of Puerto Vallarta.
