You can see the Puerto Vallarta episode of House Hunters International at a local screening and charity fundraising event to be held at 7 pm on May 28th at Daiquiri Dick's Restaurant.

With the May 28 House Hunters International local screening and charity fundraising event fast approaching, Timothy Real Estate Group's Taniel Chemsian gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the adventures he shared with the HHI production company and real estate buyers during the January filming of the show's Puerto Vallarta episode.

Part 5: The Last Day of Filming in Vallarta

We had one more day of filming... we needed more B-roll. It was a gorgeous Sunday morning and we immediately started off the day by going on a Whale Watching tour. We boarded a panga boat near the Marina and went out into the Pacific.

During the ride we all started sharing with one another our lives, including family, travels, kids and future plans. I must say, this was when we really got to know one another and started to feel more like tourists, enjoying a nice calm day out on the water.

We started to slow down as there were some baby whales breaching ever so slightly in the distance. After about 45 minutes of waiting and looking, trying to get a great shot of them breaching close by, we thought this wasn't our day and started to head back to town.

In the middle of our ride back, Zapher quickly pointed to some whales not to far in the distance. We quickly made a 180 degree turn and headed towards them. Camera Joe was all geared up and refused to leave without some great footage... and that's exactly what we got! All of a sudden, three or four whales were breaching within 50-60 feet of the boat. Were we lucky or what? Good eye Z!

Back on dry land, I took everyone to the Malecón, where we stopped by a Tequila store to sample some of Mexico's finest agave drink. We didn't want the stars to get too tipsy, so we headed over to the famous Guadalupe Cathedral in the center of downtown, where Zapher and Derick had the opportunity to buy some home made tamales from the stand on the corner. As we were walking towards the Rio Cuale Bridge we noticed the Cigar Shop and off we went. The boys learned all about tobacco and the proper way to roll a cigar.

After that, it was time for lunch. It had been a long day and we were all starving by this time. We had a fantastic meal at Vitea, right by the water. The setting was so perfect that Scott wanted to film some additional B-roll in front of the restaurant. By this time we were all energized again and got back to work.

Our incredible time together was coming to an end as we were nearing the last hours of filming. Carl Timothy, Zapher, Derick and I wanted to so something special for Scott, Joseph and Joe for all their hard work, professionalism and friendship.

We thought what better way to say Thank You than to have our last dinner in a place that truly embraces the natural beauty that is Vallarta? We went to Le Kliff, a highlight for any traveler to our beautiful city. We had an incredible dinner filled with a lot of laughter, jokes, and double shot margaritas. It was the best way of giving thanks and saying goodbye to an incredible group of individuals... until the next episode.

If you missed the show's April 6th airing on HGTV, you can see the PV episode of HHI at a local screening and charity fundraising event, scheduled to be held on May 28th at Daiquiri Dick's restaurant on the South side of Puerto Vallarta. Stay tuned for event details.
