El Arrayán Celebrates 10 Years in Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - To celebrate a decade of cooking the very best Mexican cuisine and creating unique experiences full of the flavors and traditions of Mexico for Puerto Vallarta residents and visitors, El Arrayán Restaurant is planning 10 wonderful days of celebration from November 13-24, 2013.

Here, in this intimate little Mexican restaurant in downtown Puerto Vallarta, every detail, word, flavor, color, aroma and ingredient is assembled with a love for traditional Mexican cuisine. Owners Carmen Porras and Claudia Victoria invite you to come and celebrate with them as they present the following special events to commemorate the restaurant's 10th anniversary:

Wednesday, November 13th, will be the official opening of Espacio de Arte Arrayán, where oil paintings created by Maestro Roberto Gil de Montes as well as 14 pieces of the Zitakua Vallarta - La Malagua art project will be displayed on the restaurant's walls. To celebrate, the restaurant will host an opening cocktail from 5:30-11 pm with Mexican appetizers and wine.

Thursday & Friday, November 14 & 15th are "Oaxaca Evenings," with El Arrayán serving up a 3 course menu featuring Oaxacan specialties for $190 pesos, and a special Vinoteca Mezcal promotion.

On Saturday, November 16th at 7:30 pm, Puebla's Chef Raul Ramirez will create a Dinner & Wine Pairing featuring Casa Madero wines for $380 pesos per person.

Sunday, November 17th is "Taquizas Sunday," offering a variety of all-you-can-eat guisado tacos, salad and agua fresca for $120 pesos from 2-9 pm.

On Monday, November 18th at 10:30 am, local residents and foreign visitors can learn how to prepare one of Mexico's most traditional dishes - Tamales - in a cooking class led by Guest Chef Raul Ramirez for just $110 USD. Spaces for this special 10th anniversary cooking class are limited, so call El Arrayán at (322) 222-7195 to make your reservation.

On Wednesday the 20th, Restaurant El Arrayán invites you to meet artist Roberto Gil de Montes at an art reception in Espacio de Arte Arrayán from 5:30-11 pm. This event is free and open to the public.

Thursday & Friday, November 21 & 22nd are "Baja Evenings" with El Arrayán serving up a special 3 course menu featuring Mexican specialties from Baja California for $220 pesos.

On Saturday, November 23 at 7:30 pm, UTBB students will prepare a 4-course dinner paired with Casa Madero wines for $380 pesos per person.
